Quantitative Principle of Powder Packaging Machine

From the perspective of quantitative principle, the powder packaging machine has two ways: volumetric and weighing.



▶Volumetric


The volumetric quantitative filling is to achieve quantitative filling by controlling the volume of the material. The screw-type quantitative filling machine belongs to the category of volumetric quantitative filling.



Advantages


Its advantages are simple structure, no need for weighing device, low cost, and high filling efficiency.



Disadvantages


The disadvantage of the screw-type quantitative filling machine is that the filling accuracy varies greatly depending on the material, which mainly depends on the specific gravity's stability, the size's uniformity, and the hygroscopicity and looseness of the material.



Applications


Therefore, the main applicable objects of volumetric filling are the material particles with uniform particle size, relatively stable bulk density, and relatively good self-fluidity.



Volumetric Quantitative Filling Packaging Is Divided Into Two Forms According to the Different Measurement Methods of Materials.


One is to control the flow of time of the material to control the filling volume. For example, the volume of the filling material is controlled by controlling the number of revolutions or times of the screw filling machine. The volume of the material is controlled by controlling the vibration time of the vibrating feeder.


Another form is to use the same measuring container to measure the material to achieve quantitative filling, such as a measuring cylinder, a measuring cup, or a plunger-type quantitative filling machine.


No matter which volumetric quantitative filling method is used, there is the same problem: to ensure the stability of the bulk density of the material. Vibration, stirring, nitrogen filling, or vacuuming is often accomplished to achieve this requirement. If the filling accuracy is very high, an automatic detection device needs to be used to continuously detect the change of the apparent specific gravity of the material and then continuously adjust to ensure the accuracy of the filling volume.

Weighing


Weighing quantitative filling ensures the filling accuracy by controlling the weight of the material.


Compared with the volumetric quantitative filling mentioned above, the structure is more complex, the cost is higher, and the filling efficiency is lower.


The filling objects are materials with varying particle sizes, unstable bulk density, and relatively high prices.


There are mainly three kinds of scales used for weighing quantitative filling: mechanical lever scales, electronic scales, and mechanical-electronic combined scales.


According to the different feeding methods, it is divided into single-stage feeding and multi-stage feeding. Dynamic weighing with multi-stage feeding and weighing while feeding is generally used to improve the quantitative accuracy and feeding speed.
